Remember the Motorola RAZR? You know, that thin clamshell flip phone that almost everyone had? I sure do…I had one and so did my mom and dad (mom’s was hot pink). The RAZR was extremely popular when it first came out in the Summer of 2004. Over the course of its 4-year run, Motorola was able to sell 130 million of those babies, making the RAZR the best-selling flip phone then and even now. With such success, it makes complete sense that Motorola would want to revive the brand in hopes of using its recognition to sell millions more. Well, it looks like the rebirth of the iconic RAZR is fast approaching as leaked images and specs of a so-called “Motorola Edison” have been hitting the web hard in the last few days. Speculation has it that the final product will actually make its way to Verizon, where it’ll be officially dubbed the Motorola Droid RAZR.

As if the RAZR brand wasn’t enough, tack on the brand that single-handedly put Android on the map and you got something that’s destined to have a huge impact on the market. The Droid RAZR isn’t all just about the name, the rumored device is packing some heat in terms of hardware specs as well. The code-named Edison’s leaked spec sheet has revealed the following features:
- 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display (960 x 540 resolution)
- dual-core 1.2 GHz processor
- 8-megapixel rear camera
- “HD” front-facing camera
- 1 GB of RAM
- Gorilla Glass protected display and a body encased in kevlar with a splash-resistant coating (sick!!!)
- 4G LTE
